Embracing Core Values and Resilience: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Gratitude

In my journey of writing my next book, I’ve been reflecting on a vital lesson I’ve shared with many coaching clients: the importance of defining our core values. Knowing what truly matters to us grounds us and makes decision-making easier and clearer, helping us navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

When we know who we are, we can move beyond the illusions of fear and insecurities. The answers to important questions like what to say, what to do, and whom to trust become a matter of listening to our heart. I’ve learned to make time to tune into my inner voice – my “inner pilot light” – which guides me toward decisions aligned with my true self. This inner voice is key to aligning with our purpose and living fearlessly.

I’m working on a downloadable resource outlining this process for my website, so keep an eye out if you’re interested! Remember: it’s your life. Claim it. Know yourself, trust yourself, and live the life you were born to live. Defining and aligning with your core values are a good first step.

I’ve also been reflecting on a few key themes: on the lives of those who have touched my heart but are no longer with us. Grief, though painful, is a natural healer for our wounded hearts. By processing grief, we become wiser and more grateful for the love that remains and endures.

I’ve been experiencing some amazing synchronicities in my life. Since my journey to Delphi in May, my life feels energized and full of new opportunities. One insight from this journey is that our identity greatly impacts our reality. By identifying with our consciousness rather than our physical form, we can expand our awareness and gain a new understanding of ourselves and of life. New possibilities open up.

After my most recent near-death experience, I realized that ‘I’ am not just my body or personality. This realization brought me peace and a deeper connection to life. If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, try taking a moment to pause, breathe, and connect with the present moment. Decide to be here in this present moment right now. Just for a short time. Drop your guard. Soften your mind and your body and just B R E A T H E. Breathe in ‘calm’ and breathe out ‘peace.’ Notice the body breathing and soften a little more with each exhalation. I’d love to hear about your experience with this practice. When we stop resisting life’s challenges, new paths can open up for us.
