Are You Listening to Your Soul?

“Frustration and anxiety come from not listening to the soul.”

Those words stopped me in my tracks. I read them again – slower this time – allowing them to echo within me. Something deep stirred. A truth I could no longer ignore:
I hadn’t been listening to my soul.

It wasn’t the first time I’d heard this message. Life has a way of gently whispering – and then shouting – when we forget what truly matters. I had been swept up in the whirlwind of responsibilities, projects, and commitments. Somewhere in all the ‘doing’, I had lost connection with my inner knowing.

Worse still, I had started losing sight of who I really was.

Over the past five years, I’ve devoted myself to remembering. To returning. To reawakening the part of me that is always connected – to God, to Source, to the Universe, to my higher self (whatever name resonates with you – they’re all expressions of the same truth).

What I’ve discovered in this devotion is that when we create space to listen inwardly, three truths are revealed:

  • The truth of who we are.
  • The truth of what we truly desire.
  • And the truth of why it matters.

When we stop listening, we become vulnerable to the world’s noise – other people’s opinions, societal expectations, media messages that we’re somehow ‘not enough’. We begin living on autopilot, disconnected and unfulfilled.

But when we turn inward and reconnect:

  • Clarity returns.
  • Doubt softens.
  • An inner steadiness rises, even amidst outer chaos.
  • And the love we feel for ourselves – and others – deepens.

This is when life begins to flow again. We become unstuck. We step into our power. We begin creating a life infused with purpose, peace, and joy.

So how do we reconnect?

For me, it began with asking a different question. I used to ask, “What should I do next?”
But the deeper question – the real invitation – is this:
“What do I truly want?”

Before we can hear the answer, we need to create space. Here’s how you can begin:

Three Soulful Steps to Reconnect with Your Higher Self

  1. Step Away from the Busyness
Carve out time each day to unplug – completely. Nature is one of the greatest healers. Take a 20-minute mindful walk daily if you can. No agenda. Just presence. If walking isn’t possible, sit in stillness. Let the silence speak.
  2. Speak Gratitude Out Loud
Gratitude softens the heart and clears the static. It creates a vibration that allows soul whispers to rise. Name three things you’re grateful for – feel them in your body.
  3. Engage All Your Senses
Look around. What do you see? Hear? Smell? Touch? Taste? This moment, exactly as it is, is the bridge to your higher self. From that grounded space, ask:
    “What do I want?”
    And then listen.
Not just with your ears – but with your whole being.

At first, you might hear nothing. That’s okay. Be patient. Stay curious. Your soul is always speaking. In time, the whispers will come – gentle, true, unmistakable.

Will You Take the Soul Listening Challenge?

I invite you to a gentle 30-day nature-based practice:
Each day, step outside. Breathe deeply. Observe.
Let the earth teach you how to slow down and listen.

Notice what shifts. What becomes clearer.
What feels lighter.
What your soul begins to reveal.

If you feel inspired, I’d love to hear what you discover – your insights, your questions, your moments of clarity. Simply reply and share. Your journey matters deeply to me.

And if your soul is whispering for more… if you’re ready for deeper guidance, healing or transformation…

I invite you to explore the sacred offerings on my website. Your journey matters, and I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

PS: A Personal Reflection
When I finally surrendered and truly listened to my soul’s whispers, everything changed. I was guided to close a business overseas that no longer lit me up. I let go of most of my belongings. The fear that once kept me stuck was replaced with awe, trust, and wonder.

Since then, I’ve recreated myself in service – guiding others on their own journeys of remembering and reawakening. And still, the unfolding continues.

So, dear one –
Are you listening to your soul?
Because I promise you…
It has something extraordinary to say.

With love and unwavering belief in your light,
