Gratitude for the Journey – Within and Beyond

After nine extraordinary weeks of travel across Europe, I return home with a full heart, a deeply nourished soul, and a profound sense of gratitude for the richness of life.

This journey was not just one of kilometres and countries – it was one of reconnection, reawakening, and remembrance.

  • I experienced a cruise for the very first time – where the vastness of the ocean mirrored the vastness within me.
  • I reignited my long-lost love for ballroom dancing – and with every step, I remembered what it feels like to come alive in joy and rhythm.
  • I reunited with family in Italy after 44 years – moments soaked in tears, laughter, and a kind of belonging that time could never erase.
  • I hosted my inaugural Delphi Cave Experience – a sacred, soul-shifting retreat that cracked hearts wide open and reminded each of us of our divine essence.
  • I wandered through five European countries – each place offering beauty, story, and soul-deep inspiration.

Through every experience – the grandeur, the simplicity, the sacred silence – one thing kept rising within me: Gratitude. Gratitude for the chance to say yes to life. Gratitude for the many cultures and conversations that reminded me how beautifully connected we all are. Gratitude for the expansion of my soul – and for the quiet realisation that the more open my heart becomes, the more I can feel the Oneness in all things.

The deeper gift? The embodiment of it.

Not just thinking about love, beauty, or peace – but feeling it, living it, being it.

And so this month, I pause in awe and appreciation. For life. For all its contrasts and colour. For every unfolding that shaped me along the way.

I invite you to pause with me. Reflect on your own journey – not just the physical places, but the emotional landscapes you’ve travelled. Where have you been cracked open this year? What has moved you, awakened you, softened or strengthened you?

Share something in the comments that you’re grateful for – something that has expanded you, even in unexpected ways.

Let’s celebrate the miracle of this life – not because it’s perfect, but because it is profound.

With love,

My Grateful moments are constantly around my grandchildren. Right now, I’m grateful for the very real connections between my 2 youngest male grandsons. One 16, who has lived all his life in our shared house, and one 11, who arrived with his family from Canada in September 2022. We’d connected every couple of years when we would visit them in Canada and when they visited here.

The connections with me are precious, but watching these two connect with shared interests, and the way the 16 yr old reaches out to help create those connections is a joy to watch.

I am working on that wonderful discussion on Saturday, to vocalise those gratefulness moments each morning and evening.

I’ve decided that it is time to bring that insight to my grandchildren, and encourage the adults in the household to do the same. Not that they have to tell me, just say it out loud as they wake and as they close their eyes to sleep.

Thank you for your constant inspiration.
