The Wisdom of Turning Inward

Aristotle once said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” And if I’m honest, I’ve lived the truth of that – not in theory, but in real, raw moments of doubt, disruption, and deep questioning.

There have been days… even seasons… when I’ve asked myself: What am I doing with my life? Is it meaningful enough? Am I enough?

Those questions, when left unanswered, can spiral into noise – leaving us spinning, restless, untethered. But eventually, there comes a moment – a breath – when we land.

Back in our bodies. Back in truth. Back in the quiet knowing that we’re ready to refocus and realign.

Today, I give thanks for those messy, honest moments of reckoning. Because they call us to return – not to the roles we play, but to the core of who we really are.

To feel truly content – not just happy or accomplished – we must know ourselves. Know what we stand for. Know what deeply matters. Know our non-negotiables – the values that anchor us when the world gets loud.

That knowing becomes our compass. It doesn’t make life easy, but it makes life clearer.

Sometimes it means facing hard truths… letting go of things that once defined us… or choosing a path that looks nothing like the one we thought we were supposed to walk.

For me, this journey led to Delphi, Greece. A soul-led sabbatical. A circuit breaker. I knew something in my life had to change –  the patterns, the pace, the way I was giving everything to everyone… and leaving myself behind.

That time in the cave gave me space to feel – really feel – all the vulnerability I’d been too busy to meet.

The tears came. So did the release. Of overworking. Of overcommitting. Of undervaluing my own energy and essence.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

  • If you want to reignite your passion and purpose, you must be willing to face your own heart.
  • To allow what’s tender.
  • To let the questions in – not as threats, but as invitations.

So today, I invite you to tune in.

What are the questions you keep circling back to? What whispers inside you are asking to be heard?

Find space. Find stillness. Go to Delphi if you must 😉 – or simply take time to listen.

Because what you’re seeking… is already seeking you.

Tune in. Open your heart. Reach out your hands. And say yes to the life that is waiting. With love, Jx

With love,
