Josie Wins Prestigious Gold Stevie Award

Two-time cancer survivor, Josie Thomson, has lived her life staring down the people and things that said, “no you can’t”.

“It’s resilience that determines who succeeds and who fails” said Josie Thomson, Local Business woman and Single Mother of two.

A leadership trailblazer, Josie combines fifteen years of corporate experience with over a decade of coaching and consulting to corporate executives, entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders.

“Josie has displayed exemplary true grit and is living proof that more than education, more than experience, more than training, more than any one single factor, it’s resilience that determines who succeeds and who fails”, said Maurice Cabrera, Award nominator.

The 11th Annual International STEVIE® Awards received more than 3,500 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry worldwide. Josie won the Maverick of the Year “GOLD STEVIE® AWARD” in the Management category for Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations and Business Services.

Nicknamed the Stevie’s for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet in Paris, France on 10 October 2014.
